David Turner is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Velocity Now, an executive coaching and leadership development firm based in Denver, Colorado. He has logged more than 13,400 hours coaching CEOs and their direct reports at companies ranging from $50M to $27B in revenue, including publicly traded, family-owned, and private-equity-backed businesses. He is the author of 82 proprietary frameworks built for executives navigating growth, transition, and pressure.

David coaches from the operator’s chair, not the sideline. He was most recently CEO of Contegix, a $65M private-equity-backed roll-up of five IT cloud services companies. Across 31 years of senior leadership, he has been part of 57 M&A transactions since 2003 and has led more than two dozen of them. A global executive, David has developed markets across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America. 

As SVP and Managing Director of Sales and Marketing at DigitalGlobe (NYSE: DGI, later Maxar Technologies), David led 123 team members to deliver more than $700M in revenue and owned $135M+ in P&L, with 19% compound annual growth during his tenure. Earlier, as a Vice President at IHS Markit, he led the integration of ten business units and acquisitions delivering $117 million in year one, drove revenue generation for CERAWeek, the world’s largest energy executive summit, and led the IHS delegation to the World Economic Forum’s Summer Davos and its Middle East and Latin America forums.

David holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University and is a member of the Forbes Coaching Council.
