Dr. Mindy Shoss

Mindy Shoss, Ph.D., is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Central Florida. Her research covers job insecurity, precarious work, AI and robotics integration into the workplace, and worker well-being and adaptation. Recognized as a Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Dr. Shoss has published over 100 research articles and book chapters, and co-edited The Cambridge Handbook of the Changing Nature of Work. Her research has contributed to conversations about AI, job insecurity, and the changing nature of work across a variety of outlets including the National Safety Council, the American Psychological Association, DataCamp, the National Academies of Sciences Board of Human Systems Integration, Harvard Business Review, and IBM’s Tech for Justice series. Dr. Shoss serves as Associate Editor of the Journal of Applied Psychology and is a member of the American Psychological Association’s Future of Work Advisory Group.
